At the last second, Louisville Transfer Center James Scott (6’11″/220) entered the Transfer Portal last night.

There’s a lot of buzz surrounding NC State’s interest in Scott.

Scott began his career at College of Charleston as a Freshman in 2023-24, earning a spot on the CAA All-Freshman Team averaging 5.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in just 16.1 minutes.

Last season he followed Pat Kelsey to Louisville, where he started in 31 of 35 games, averaging 7.1 points, 6.1 rebounds and 0.9 blocks, shooting 75.5% from the field. Scott had 79 dunks this season, which is the third most in a single season in Louisville history.

Scott is a North Carolina native, playing for Seventy-First and E.E. Smith in Fayetteville.

He has 2 years of eligibility remaining.
