NC State’s Will Wade was in to see 4-Star 2026 Small Forward Cole Cloer (6’8″/195) yesterday down in Florida.

Cloer recently took an Official Visit to NC State on the weekend of August 29th. It’s clear Cloer is a priority for Wade and the Wolfpack, hopping on a plane to visit him shortly after his Official.

He is a consensus 4-Star prospect in the 2026 recruiting class, with 247Sports and ESPN both ranking him as the #25 overall player nationally, and the #10 Small Forward. He is a North Carolina native, but transferred to IMG Academy in Florida for his upcoming Florida season. Prior to the move, Cloer was the #1 ranked player in the state of North Carolina, and now he’s the #5 player in the Sunshine State according to 247Sports.

Last season, Cloer averaged 18.9 points, 7.2 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 1.2 blocks and 1 steal for Caldwell Academy in Greensboro. He shot 51% from the field and 41% from three.

Cloer was once believed to be leaning towards UNC, but that was before Will Wade came to town.

He took an Official Visit to Florida this past weekend, and also has Official’s scheduled with UCONN (9/13), Kentucky (9/17), Arkansas (10/4), UNC (10/10) and Alabama (10/18).
