The ‘Basket Under Review’ outlet released their latest STATS podcast, focusing on ACC basketball and giving it a statistical deep dive.

They ranked the teams, and put NC State at #3. Here are the highlights…

– The stat they focused on was ‘Overall Offensive Rating’

– Believes that this team looks a lot like Wade’s final team at LSU, with Top-10 lockdown defense with defenders like Arceneaux, Holloman, Williams and Copeland, but how will they score?

– Still questions. Will they score mostly in transition, will their half court offense be efficient? Will Darrion WIlliams thrive in Raleigh as a weapon in the post? Will Paul McNeil break out? How ready is Matt Able? Is Breed going to be a scorer?

– Defense should be great. Offense dictates floor or ceiling of this team.

– Question on game share. Wade likes to crockpot. Not get giant leads, but gets smaller leads that simmer and slowly grow. Will that happen in Raleigh?

– Wades has been high tempo at VCU and LSU, but was slower paced at McNeese. What will this team be?

– McNeese was great at slowing down fast teams. If they can do that, can they score in the half court?

– Ceiling is Top-20 offensively, floor is mid 30s accoring to the pod.
