Initial NC State vs. Georgia Tech Availability Report

The initial Availability Report for NC State’s game against Georgia Tech tomorrow night in Carter-Finley was released last night.

Redshirt Sophomore Running Back Hollywood Smothers and Senior Tight End Justin Joly are arguable the Wolfpack’s two best skill players, and they are both listed as Questionable. Joly looked like he tweaked a muscle in his leg when he was running down the field for a touchdown against Pitt this past Saturday.

Senior Safety JJ Johnson didn’t against Pitt last week, but is listed as Questionable this week. He started 3 of the first 4 games to start the season at Strong Safety.

Redshirt Senior Left Guard had started every game of the season until he missed last weeks game against the Panthers. He is no longer listed on the Availability Report. Redshirt Sophomore Kamen Smith started in his place against Pitt.

True Freshman Spike Sowells Jr. Right Guard will miss his second straight game, after earning the starting job in Week 4. Last week, Redshirt Sophomore Rico Jackson started in his place.

Redshirt Freshman Safety Brody Baarnhardt will miss his third straight game, after suffering an injury in the Virginia Tech game. Redshirt Freshman Ronnie Royal III has started at Free Safety in his place the past three weeks, but he’s now listed as Questionable on the availability report.
