#3 Seed NC State defeated #14 Seed Louisville 3–0 in the first round of the 2025 ACC Men’s Soccer Tournament this evening in Raleigh, marking the Wolfpack’s first ACC Tournament win since 2018.

Senior Drew Lovelace scored his fourth goal of the season, while transfers Carlos Santamaria and Thomas Lamaille each netted their first goals of the year.

Senior Calem Tommy recorded his fifth assist of the season, which ranks fourth on the team, and Justin McLean (SR) and Aidan Payne (RS-JR) both notched their fourth assists of the year.

It was a dominant performance by NC State, as the Wolfpack held the edge in shots (21–3), shots on goal (5–1), and corner kicks (6–2).

Next up for the Wolfpack is a matchup against #6 Seed Syracuse on Sunday. This will be the first time NC State has hosted a second-round ACC Tournament game since the event began in 1987.

The Wolfpack and the Orange met just last week on Halloween, finishing in a 1–1 draw in the regular-season finale.

NC State is now 12-1-4 on the year, marking the first time the program has reached 12 wins in a single season since 2009.

This is shaping up to be one of the best seasons in the history of NC State Men’s Soccer, capped by the best regular season in school history. Check out all of the milestones achieved in just the second regular season under Head Coach Marc Hubbard.
