Marshall Transfer Defensive Tackle KaTron Evans is Visiting NC State

Marshall Transfer Defensive Tackle KaTron Evans (6’3″/336) is taking an Official Visit to NC State today, according to reports.

Evans recorded 12 tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss this season for the Thundering Herd in 11 games.

Prior to joining Marshall in 2025, he spent one season at UNC Charlotte, where he finished with eight tackles, one tackle for loss, and one fumble recovery.

Evans spent his first two collegiate seasons at Jackson State, totaling 14 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, and 1.5 sacks across 12 games.

He was a consensus four-star prospect in the 2021 recruiting class, with Rivals ranking him as the No. 149 overall player nationally, the No. 13 defensive lineman, and the No. 6 player in the state of Maryland.

His PFF grade this season with Marshall was 64.1.

Evans has one year of eligibility remaining.
