NC State landed one of the biggest football recruiting commitments in program history when 4-star quarterback Gunner Rivers, the son of former NFL star Philip Rivers, verbally committed to the Wolfpack.

Following Rivers’ commitment, NC State’s 2027 recruiting class now ranks No. 21 nationally according to the 247Sports Team Recruiting Rankings.

The Wolfpack currently have four commitments in the 2027 class, and the addition of Rivers has significantly boosted the group’s national standing.
