REPORT: Wade met with NC State today about an LSU offer, NC State will attempt to match it

According to LSU’s ‘Locked On’ reporter, Matt Moscona, Will Wade met with NC State today to inform them of his LSU offer.

Will Wade met with NC State officials Wednesday to discuss reports around a possible return to LSU, source confirms.

NC State is expected to make a competitive offer within 24 hours to keep Wade in Raleigh.

This things is moving at light speed right now, so while we are working to verify stuff, some of this is just going to be hearsay and social media reports.

We can confirm that Wade was on campus earlier in the day, so we do believe this meeting happend. As for NC State making a competitive offer within 24 hours? I’m skeptical about that one. Based on what I’ve been told by a source on the NC State side, that offer may have already been presented to Wade today and the ball may already be in his court with a window of time to accept or decline.

You really have to wonder though, with the former McNeese president trying to hire the former McNeese AD, and that being tied to the deal with Wade (according to Rothstein), is money even the issue? And with the way this is playing out, what would it look like for Wade to return?
