NC State Assistant Coach Adam Howard Named Head Coach at Troy

Will Wade brought in Adam Howard this past season as an assistant coach to run the offensive strategy for NC State.

Howard has now earned his first head coaching opportunity, being named the head coach at Troy — territory that isn’t unfamiliar to him. He previously served as an assistant coach at Troy from 2016-18.

If there was one strength for this year’s NC State squad, it was the offense. The Wolfpack ranked 23rd in adjusted offensive efficiency according to KenPom under Howard’s direction.

While Howard came to Raleigh from Nebraska, Alabama is far from foreign territory for him. As mentioned earlier, he previously coached at Troy and also had a stint at South Alabama from 2018-21.
