NC State has Shown Interest in Memphis Transfer Guard Curtis Givens III

Memphis transfer guard Curtis Givens III (6’3”, 190 pounds) has received interest from NC State, according to Sam Kayser.

He’s also hearing from UNC, Ohio State, Georgetown, Georgia Tech, Boston College, Ole Miss, USC, and McNeese.

In his lone season at Memphis, Givens III started 15 of the 25 games he played, averaging 25.6 minutes per game. He put up 9.4 points per contest while shooting 43.1% from the field and 36.5% from three-point range.

Before Memphis, Givens III began his career at LSU, where he was a consensus 4-star prospect in the 2024 recruiting class. ESPN ranked him as the No. 42 overall player nationally, the No. 10 point guard, and the No. 2 player in the state of Tennessee. As a freshman at LSU, he averaged 4.8 points in 18.2 minutes per game.

At the transfer level, both 247Sports and On3 rate Givens III as a 3-star prospect. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 165 overall player in the portal and the No. 34 point guard.

Givens III will have two years of eligibility remaining at his next destination.
