Luke Nixon Named to Baseball America Team of the Week

NC State junior second baseman Luke Nixon continues to swing a scorching bat, earning a spot on Baseball America’s Week 12 College Team of the Week.

Nixon put together a dominant four-game stretch, helping the Wolfpack take down East Carolina in a midweek matchup and win two out of three against Miami.

Over that span, Nixon went 8-for-16 at the plate, piling up 7 runs and 9 RBI. Four of those hits went for extra bases, including 2 home runs and 2 doubles.

Breakout Season in Full Swing

To call Nixon’s 2026 campaign a breakout might actually undersell it.

After hitting .295 last season, Nixon has elevated his game to another level, currently batting a blistering .358 through 47 games.

He’s not just improved…he’s on pace to set career highs in nearly every statistical category.
