Four NC State Players Earn All-ACC Baseball Honors

The 2026 All-ACC Baseball Teams were officially announced today, and NC State placed four players on the postseason teams.

The Wolfpack also landed a representative on the All-Freshman Team.

Rett Johnson

Coming out of high school, Johnson was highly regarded, ranked No. 137 nationally by Perfect Game and No. 7 in North Carolina in the 2025 class.

But even those rankings undersold what he has become as a freshman.

Johnson currently:

Leads NC State in batting average (.397)
Leads NC State in hits (73)
Leads NC State in on-base percentage (.504)

His .504 OBP currently ranks as the 4th-best single-season mark in NC State history

Meanwhile, his 73 hits are tied for the 10th-most ever by an NC State freshman

And he’s done all of it while adding elite speed on the bases with 14 stolen bags.

The future looks bright.

Ty Head

Ty Head once again proved to be one of the ACC’s most patient hitters.

His 54 walks rank 2nd in the ACC, and rank 2nd in NC State single-season history

But the biggest development?

The power surge.

After hitting six home runs last season, Head has launched 13 this year while also becoming one of the ACC’s top base stealers.
