On April 10th UNC Charlotte Shooting Guard Torin Dorn requested his release from the program. He joined four other players that chose to leave the program after the hiring of Mark Price as the new head coach of the 49ers.

Last week the 6-5 Freshman narrowed his list down to 4 high major programs: NC State, Miami, Texas & Florida.

Today Dorn visited Raleigh, and will visit Miami tomorrow. According to Pack Pride, Texas and Florida have been nixed from his list.

In his freshman season, Dorn averaged 12 points per game (50.5 FG%) and was named the Conference USA Freshman of the Year.

Wherever Dorn transfers to he will have to sit out a season. With the potential he showed last year, combined with a year practicing against higher level talent, either ACC team that gets him will be getting a significant contributor in the backcourt.
