If you’re a stat nerd, you know who Ken Pomeroy is.  He released his preseason rankings yesterday, and according to his mysterious Pythagorean rating, NC State is ranked 41st heading into the season.  According to his computer calculations, the ACC heads into this season as the best conference in the nation.  That is why NC State can be ranked 41st, and still sit 10th in the conference rankings.  Here is a breakdown of how the ACC teams ranked:
