NC State Improves to 5-0, Mowing Over Saint Peter’s 85-57

NC State’s defensive prowess was back tonight against Saint Peter’s, defeating Saint Peter’s 85-57 to improve to 5-0. The Wolfpack held the Peacock’s to 33.3% shooting from the field, 19% from three, and 65.4% from the charity stripe.

Four NC State players scored in double-figures, but only one of them was a starter (Torin Dorn – 12 points and 3 assists). Jericole Hellems, Braxton Beverly, and Eric Lockett each were in double-digits, scoring 10, 10, and 11 respectively.

The Wolfpack shot 51.9% from the field, 50% from three, and 77.8% from the free-throw line. They had 20 assists to 12 turnovers, and held Saint Peter’s to 15 turnovers and 8 assists.

Graduate Senior Eric Lockett continues to fill the stat sheet, leading the Wolfpack in rebounds with 6 (off-the-bench). Redshirt Sophomore Blake Harris led the Wolfpack in assists with 4 (off-the-bench).

The Wolfpack will host Mercer on Saturday at 5:30pm on Saturday at PNC Arena.
