Russell Wilson Silences Richard Sherman With 4 TDs

Russell Wilson’s former teammate Richard Sherman, current 49ers cornerback, made some digs at his former quarterback last week before the two faced each other as opponents on Sunday.

Wilson did his part in silencing Sherman on Sunday, completing 11 of his 17 passes for 4 touchdowns (0 interceptions).

Wilson currently ranks 4th in the NFL in touchdown passes (29) and QB Rating (115.5).

Since the start of 2017, Russell Wilson has thrown seven more touchdowns than any other quarterback.

Russell Wilson is on pace for a career-high in touchdowns (39) while also on pace to throw his fewest attempts (435) since his second year in the league.

Russell Wilson now has a TD percentage of 8.9. If he maintains that pace for the season — maybe a tough ask, but still — it’d be the fourth highest in NFL history since the merger. Not bad for a team establishing the run.
