The #9 NC State Women’s Basketball team defeated Boston College (11-4) 85-69 yesterday improving to 15-0 (2-0) on the season, which is officially the best start to a season in program history (45 years).

4 Wolfpack players finished in double figures, with Redshirt Graduate Junior Kiara Leslie leading the way with a career high 31 points. Leslie was unstoppable, shooting 13-15 from the field, and 3 of 4 from beyond the arch.

Junior Aislinn Konig chipped in 4 of her own from deep (4-7), following Leslie with 16 points. She also led the team with 4 assists. Konig now ranks 6th in school history in career 3-pointers made.

Starters Kai Crutchfield (Sophomore) and Erika Cassell (Junior) both finished with 10 points apiece. It was Crutchfield’s first career start after the Wolfpack lost Redshirt Junior Grace Hunter for the remainder of the season, suffering a torn ACL against Duke in the ACC opener. Hunter was NC State’s leading scorer.

Senior DD Rodgers, the only starter not in double figures, led the Wolfpack with 8 rebounds.

It was a dominant performance by the Wolfpack, never trailing for a single second. NC State improved their series record against Boston College to 16-8.

The Wolfpack will try to improve their ACC record to 3-0 this Thursday night at home against Pitt at 7pm.
