Published

on

3-Star 2020 Shooting Guard Tristan Maxwell (6’3″/195) is on an Official Visit to NC State this weekend.

He was scheduled to take an Official Visit to Georgia Tech the last weekend of September but that was cancelled. According to his 247Sports profile, that schedule has been rescheduled for next weekend, but we will have to wait and see if that actually happens.

NC State has been after Maxwell for years now, offering him back on June 23rd, 2017.

He also holds offers from Georgetown, Gonzaga, Pitt, Texas A&M, Georgia Tech, Ole Miss, Providence, South Florida, Temple, Saint Louis and others.

247Sports ranks Maxwell as the #9 player in the state of North Carolina in 2020.

He plays for North Mecklenburg, in Huntersville.

NC State technically has 1 more scholarship available in their 2020 recruiting class.

3-Star G Shakeel Moore Signs Letter of Intent to Play at NC State

Published

on

3-Star 2020 Guard Shakeel Moore verbally committed to NC State on Saturday night at the Phenom Hoops National Showcase, and he has now officially signed his National Letter of Intent to play for the Wolfpack.

Moore plays at Moravian Prep with NC State target 2020 5-Star Forward Josh Hall, and is ranked as the #7 player in the state of North Carolina according to 247Sports.

It was once thought that Moore would wait until the Spring, and it was also once thought that Providence would be where he landed, but both of those things obviously didn’t transpire.

Keatts and two of his assistant coaches were at his game on Friday, and the whole Moravian Prep team was at the Wolfpack’s game in Reynolds Coliseum Saturday afternoon.

Moore is the 4th member of NC State’s 2020 recruiting class to sign their letter of intent. According to 247Sports, the Wolfpack’s class currently ranks 14th nationally.

5-Star F Josh Hall Announcing Decision Tomorrow

Published

on

5-Star 2020 Forward Josh Hall (6’9″/190) will be announcing his college decision tomorrow, and he will ultimately be choosing between NC State, Louisville and DePaul.

He took Official Visits to all three schools.

Rivals ranks Hall as the #26 player overall nationally in the 2020 recruiting class, and 247Sports ranks him as the #2 player in the state of North Carolina. Hall plays for Moravian Academy in Hickory.

NC State head coach Kevin Keatts and two of his assistants were in attendance watching Hall and his Moravian Prep teammates (including recent commit Shakeel Moore) in the Phenom Hoops National Showcase on Friday, and then the whole team was in attendance for the Wolfpack’s game in Reynolds Coliseum on Saturday.

For what it’s worth, the national recruiting experts would be dumfound if Hall didn’t decide to run with the Pack tomorrow.

100% of the FutureCast votes at Rivals (7), and 100% of the Crystal Ball predictions at 247Sports (5) have Hall choosing NC State tomorrow.

Also, 4-Star Point Guard commit Cam Hayes is pretty sure he knows what’s going down.

According to 247Sports’ Class Calculator, if Hall chooses NC State tomorrow, the Wolfpack will boast the 5th best class in the land.
