NC State Offers Top-10 Forward Nate Ament

Published

on

NC State was in to watch 2025 Forward Nate Ament (6’8″/170) last week with Team Loaded on the Adidas AAU circuit, and the Wolfpack extended him a scholarship offer on the 20th.

Ament is a consensus Top-40 player in the 2025 recruiting class, with ON3 ranking him 10th overall. Rivals and ON3 both rank him as a 5-star player, and he is the consensus #1 player in the state of Virginia in his class.

He plays for Highland High School in Manassas, Virginia, where he averaged 19.3 points, 7.8 rebounds, 4.0 blocks and 3.7 assists per game last season.

Ament’s offer sheet is insane, holding offers from NC State, Virginia Tech, Duke, Iowa, Wake Forest, Virginia, Pitt, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, Louisville, Tennessee, Ole Miss, FSU, Alabama, Texas and others.

Why waste the time? Five stars do not come to NCSU first time around.

4-Star Forward Kanon Catchings is Taking an Official Visit to NC State Starting Tonight

Published

on

4-Star 2024 Forward Kanon Catchings (6’9″/215) will be taking an Official Visit to NC State starting this evening, according to a source.

Catchings is the #31 overall player nationally in the 2024 recruiting class according to Rivals. ESPN ranks him as the #2 player in the state of Georgia, playing for Overtime Elite with 2024 NC State Signee Trey Parker.

On September 22, 2022, Catchings verbally committed to Purdue, but he decommitted from the Boilermakers a week ago. He took an Official Visit to BYU nearly immediately after.

Technically speaking, after Ernest Ross announced he was coming back, NC State already has 13 scholarship players heading into the 2024-25 season. With that being said, in the world of NIL, teams can be more creative, covering someone’s scholarship costs with NIL money.

This year at Overtime Elite, Catchings averaged 14.4 points and 5.7 rebounds per game, shooting 66.7% from the field, and 36.2% from three.

4-Star G/F Bryce Heard is Taking an Official Visit to NC State Later this Month

Published

4-Star 2025 Guard/Forward Bryce Heard (6’5″/170) confirmed with me that he will be taking an Official Visit to NC State on June 23-25.

247Sports, ESPN and Rivals all rank Heard as a 4-Star prospect. Rivals ranks him as the #83 overall player nationally in the 2025 recruiting class. 247Sports ranks him as the #15 Combo Guard in the class, and they also rank him as the #1 player in the state of Illinois.

Here recently, ON3 ranked Heard as the #3 Top Performer at the Pangos All-American Camp.

As a Junior this past season at Homewood-Flossmoor (Chicago, Illinois), Heard averaged 19 point, 8 rebounds and 5 assists.

NC State offered Heard back on September 22nd last Fall, and he also holds offers from Oklahoma St., Arkansas, Georgia, LSU, Illinois, Georgetown, Arizona St., Oklahoma, St. John’s, Kansas St., USC, Boston College and others.

NC State Offers 3-Star Small Forward Ryan Frost

Published

on

3-Star 2025 Small Forward Ryder Frost (6’6″/205) has received an offer from NC State.

247Sports ranks Frost as a 3-Star prospect, while the other databases have him as unranked (Rivals), or unlisted (ESPN & ON3). 247 ranks him as the #5 overall player in the state of Massachusetts in the 2025 recruiting class.

When it’s all said and done, I don’t expect Frost to be an unranked or unrated prospect by any database. He has been averaging 15 points and 8.2 rebounds for the Middlesex Magic in AAU ball in the Under Armour circuit this Spring, shooting 43% from three.

Sometimes everything can change in one day. Yesterday, after picking up an offer from Syracuse, Frost also picked up offers from Nebraska, Minnesota, Wake Forest, NC State, Virginia Tech and Georgia Tech. Prior to yesterday, Frost also held offers from West Virginia, Iowa, Penn State and others.

Frost looks to be one of the best three-point shooters in the nation in the 2025 recruiting class. He plays High School ball for Phillips Exeter in Exeter, New Hampshire.

Here’s a look at some highlights from his recent AAU circuit.

Here’s a look at Frost’s Junior Highlights at Exeter, where he helped lead them to the state title. He was named the Player of the Year in New Hampshire, averaging 21.6 point and 7.7 rebounds per game, shooting 44 percent from three, making 201 from beyond the arc.
