4-Star OT Takhyian Whitset Signs his NLI to Play at NC State

Today is National Signing Day for the 2025 Football Recruiting Class.

4-Star Offensive Tackle Takhyian Whitset (6’5″/265) has signed his National Letter of Intent to play football at NC Sate.

Whitset verbally committed to run with the Wolfpack on October 12th after taking an Official Visit. He was previously committed to Purdue (April 30th), but decommitted from the Boilermakers on October 9th.

Whitset plays for Antioch in Nashville, Tennessee. 247Sports ranks him as the #222 overall player nationally, the #20 Offensive Tackle nationally in the 2025 recruiting class, and the #8 player in the state of Tennessee.

He also held offers from FSU, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech, and others.

Whitset plays for Antioch High School in Nashville, Tennessee.
