Elisha Shaw has been promoted to a Full-Time Defensive Line Assistant at NC State, after serving in a part-time role in 2024.

Shaw was a 4-Star Defensive Tackle prospect in the 2014 recruiting class according to ESPN. He held offers from Alabama, Georgia, Florida State, Arkansas, Auburn, Louisville, Mississippi St., Ohio St., Ole Miss, Texas and others. Unfortunately, Shaw suffered a career ending injury as a Senior at Tucker High School (Tucker, Georgia).

Fortunately, the NCAA approved a waiver, allowing him to receive a non-football scholarship from Alabama. He graduated as a member of the Crimson Tide in 2018, and instantly began pursuing a future in coaching.

He started his coaching career as a Graduate Assistant with the Running Backs at Missouri Valley College, and was a Defensive Line Graduate Assistant at Georgia State before coming to Raleigh.

“Coach Shaw has brought a wealth of passion and enthusiasm to our program and has done a great job with our d-line,” Doeren added. “He has a bright future as a coach.” (GoPack)
