NC State’s Aziaha James is 1 of 15 on the Wooden Award Ballot

The ballot for the 2024-25 Women’s Basketball Wooden Award is out, and NC State Senior Guard Aziaha James is on the list.

James is averaging 17.9 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game this season, earning 1st Team All-ACC honors for the 2nd consecutive year. She helped lead NC State to their 5th ACC Tournament Finals in 6 years, and has been the best player on a team that is ranked 9th in the AP Poll heading into Selection Sunday.

James is 1 of 4 ACC players represented on the ballot, joined by Notre Dame’s Olivia Miles and Hannah Hidalgo, as well as FSU’s Flau’jae Johnson.

Voting will take place from March 10-24, and the 5 finalists will be announced on April 1st on ESPN.
