NC State Signee Zymicah Wilkins Named 2025 Mr. Basketball in North Carolina

NC State 2025 Signee Zymicah Wilkins (6’8″/240) earned the prestigious title of 2025 Mr. Basketball in the state of North Carolina today, awarded annually to the best high school basketball player in the state of North Carolina, regardless of class since 1985.

ESPN ranks Wilkins as the #56 overall player nationally in the 2025 recruiting class, the #7 Power Forward and the #2 player in the state of North Carolina.

Last month, Wilkins led Christ School (26-2) to their 3rd straight NCISAA 4A state title, defeating Carmel Christian School (18-9) 73-50.

Wilkins finished the season averaging 15.6 points and 8 rebounds per game.

Wilkins is the 9th North Carolina Mr. Basketball to sign with NC State, joining Terquavion Smith (2021), Lavar Batts (2017), Rodney Purvis (2012), Scooter Sherrill (2000), Ishua Benjamin (1994), Todd Fuller (1992), Bryant Feggins (1989) and Chucky Brown (1985).
