NC State Signee Destiny Lunan Named 2024-25 Arizona Player of the Year

NC State 2025 Guard signee Destiny Lunan has been named the 2024-25 Arizona Player of the Year by MaxPreps and Gatorade.

Lunan just led Millennium to the 2024-25 AIA Open Division State Championship, defeating Valley Vista 51-37 to claim the title. Destiny’s 37 points matched Valley Vista’s team total.

Known as Ky’She, after her mentor Kyrie Irving, Lunan wore custom shoes from the NBA All-Star in the championship game.

Lunan finished her Senior season at Millennium averaging 20.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, 4.2 steals and 3.1 assists per game.

ESPN ranks her as 4-Star prospect, and the #60 overall player nationally in the 2025 recruiting class.

Lunan is joined by 4-Star Guard Adelaide Jernigan, who ESPN ranks as the #66 overall player nationally.
