NC State Forward Brandon Huntley-Hatfield is entering the Transfer Portal.

This past season was Styles’ lone season in Raleigh, transferring in this past offseason from Louisville. He was limited due to injuries, starting in only 10 of 26 games. Huntley-Hatfield averaged 7.2 points and 4.8 rebounds, shooting 50.4% from the field.

Huntley-Hatfield was a 2-year starter at Louisville before transferring to NC State, starting in all 32 games for the Cardinals in 2023-24. He averaged 12.9 points and 8.4 rebounds as a Junior, shooting 56.7% from the field.

Originally, Huntley-Hatfield committed to Tennessee, as a 5-star prospect in the Volunteer’s 2021 recruiting class. 247Sports and ESPN both ranked him as a 5-star prospect, with the latter ranking him as the #21 overall player nationally. 247Sports ranked him as the #1 player in the state of Pennsylvania. He played in 35 games, starting 12, for Tennessee as a Freshman.

Technically speaking, Styles is out of years of eligibility, but he’s banking on the NCAA passing new legislation that would grant players five years of eligibility. Wolfpack Forward Ben Middlebrooks and Guards Breon Pass and Dontrez Styles are banking on the same thing. Earlier in the year, news started swirling that this was a possibility, but as things currently stand, nothing has been passed.

Since the Transfer Portal opened on March 24th, ten Wolfpack players have entered: Forwards Ben Middlebrooks , Brandon Huntley-Hatfield and Ismael Diouf, Guards Dontrez StylesBreon PassTrey ParkerMike JamesDennis Parker Jr., Marcus Hill and Bryce Heard. Parker Jr. and Mike James have found new homes, with the former transferring to Radford, and the former landing at Vanderbilt.
