Former NC State Forward Ismael Diouf is Transferring to Northern Iowa

Former NC State Forward Ismael Diouf is transferring to Northern Iowa.

News broke on April 2nd that Diouf was entering the Transfer Portal.

Diouf joined the Wolfpack this past offseason from Laval College in Quebec City, Canada. Despite being the #1 draft pick in the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL), Diouf opted to continue his college basketball career at NC State, committing to run with the Pack on June 24th last summer.

This season, Diouf appeared in 18 games, averaging 2.2 points in 8 minutes per game. His best performance was a 9-point, 5-rebound game on the road at Stanford.

After playing two years at Laval and one year at NC State, Diouf has one year of eligibility remaining.

Ten Wolfpack players elected to enter the Transfer Portal after the conclusion of the season: Forwards Ben Middlebrooks , Brandon Huntley-Hatfield and Ismael Diouf, Guards Dontrez StylesBreon PassTrey ParkerMike JamesDennis Parker Jr., Marcus Hill and Bryce Heard.

Three of the Ten have found new schools: Dennis Parker Jr. (Radford), Mike James (Vanderbilt) and Ismael Diouf (Northern Iowa).
