Former NC State Guard Marcus Hill is transferring to Texas A&M.

Technically speaking, Hill is out of eligibility, but due to an ongoing lawsuit with the NCAA, all former JUCO players whose eligibility expired this athletic year have been granted an additional year for next season.

Hill was NC State’s leading scorer this season, averaging 11.6 points per game. He shot 45.3% from the field and averaged 3.9 rebounds.

This past offseason, Hill transferred to NC State from Bowling Green, where he earned 1st Team All-MAC honors, averaging 20.5 points per game in 2023-24. He spent his first two years in the JUCO ranks at Southern Union State College. In 2022-23, Hill earned 3rd Team NJCAA All-American honors and was ranked as the #32 overall Junior College prospect in the nation.

Ten Wolfpack players elected to enter the Transfer Portal after the conclusion of the season: Forwards Ben Middlebrooks , Brandon Huntley-Hatfield and Ismael DioufGuards Dontrez StylesBreon PassTrey ParkerMike JamesDennis Parker Jr., Marcus Hill and Bryce Heard.
