In the past week, three NC State players have announced that they are entering the Transfer Portal.

Redshirt Junior Pitcher Jacob Dienes spent the past 4 years as a member of the Wolfpack. After making 3 appearances as a True Freshman (3 innings), he redshirted the 2023 season. Over the past two seasons, Dienes only made 1 appearance each year.

In his career at NC State, Dienes gave up 3 earned runs in 3 innings, striking out 3, while walking 8.

Dienes is from Wilson, North Carolina.

Junior Pitcher Eli Pillsbury transferred to NC State from the JUCO ranks last offseason, playing his first two seasons at John A. Logan College.

Pillsbury didn’t make a single appearance for the Wolfpack this year.

Coming out of high school, Perfect Game ranked him as the 2nd-best left-handed pitcher and 34th-best prospect overall in the state of Indiana

Sophomore Outfielder Jake Bechtel saw action in 11 games (6 starts) as a True Freshman in 2023, producing a .063 batting average. Bechtel only played in 4 games this season, going 1 for 4.

Coming out of high school, Perfect Game ranked him as the 25th-best outfield prospect and 133rd-ranked prospect overall in the state of Florida.
