5-Star Point Guard Deron Rippey Jr. is on an Official Visit to NC State

5-Star 2026 Point Guard Deron Rippey Jr. (6’2″/175) is on an Official Visit with NC State currently. He even reworked his visit so that he could arrive on Thursday, to have more time with the Wolfpack.

This is Rippey Jr.’s last scheduled Official Visit. He’s already taken Official Visits to Miami, UNC, Texas, Syracuse, Kentucky, Duke and Tennessee.

Rivals ranks Rippey Jr. as the #5 overall player nationally in the 2026 recruiting class, the #2 Point Guard and the #1 player in the state of New Jersey.

The Wolfpack offered Rippey Jr. on June 17th.

Last year, he led Blair Academy to a 24-4 record, averaging 16.2 points, 5.3 assists, 4.9 rebounds and 2.2 steals per game. Rippey Jr. was named the Gatorade Player of the Year in New Jersey as a Junior.

Senior Wolfpack Point Guard Tre Holloman might only be in Raleigh for this season, but he’s trying to help build the future of the program. He’s all-in on Rippey Jr. to NC State.
