This past Sunday, former NC State Quarterback Jacoby Brissett broke the NFL record for completions in a single game.

Brissett chucked the ball an absurd 57 times, completing 47 of them for 452 yards and 2 touchdowns (2 interceptions) in the Cardinals’ 41-22 loss to the 49ers.

Brissett signed a 2 year $12.5 million contract with Arizona this past offseason to be the backup to Kyler Murray. After Murray went down with an injury, Jacoby has started the past 5 games.

On the year, Brissett has completed 66.7% of his passes for 1,570 yards and 10 touchdowns (3 interceptions). His QB Rating is an impressive 98.0. Brissett has also rushed the ball for 80 yards and a touchdown.

Brissett is in his 10th year in the NFL, playing for his 6th team. He was originally drafted in the 3rd round of the 2016 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots.

Despite only playing 2 years at NC State after transferring from Florida, Brissett ranks in the Top-10 in school history in most career statistical categories.

1st in Interception Avoidance
3rd in Rushing Yards by a Quarterback
6th in Completions
6th in Passing Efficiency
7th in Passing Touchdowns
7th in Completion Percentage
7th in Total Yards
9th in Passing Yards

He also is one of the most successful Quarterbacks to come out of NC State to go on to play in the NFL. Here’s where Brissett’s career numbers rank compared to the rest of the Wolfpack players to play Quarterback in the NFL:

3rd in QB Rating
4th in Games Played
5th in Games Started
5th in Passing Yards
5th in Passing Touchdowns
5th in Wins

Regardless of position, Brissett ranks 9th in rushing yards and 5th in rushing touchdowns.
