NC State Redshirt Sophomore Linebacker Kelvon McBride is entering the Transfer Portal.

After redshirting the 2023 season, McBride tallied 14 tackles in 13 games in 2024. McBride played in 8 games this season, seeing Special Teams snaps only in 5 of those games. He only played 23 defensive snaps in 3 games in 2025, finishing the year with 5 tackles.

McBride was a consensus 3-Star prospect in the Wolfpack’s 2023 recruiting class. ON3 ranked him as the #31 overall player in the state of Alabama that year.

McBride is the 11th NC State player to enter the Transfer Portal, joining Wide Receiver Noah Rogers, Wide Receiver Terrell Anderson, Safety Daemon Fagan, Wide Receiver Jimmar Boston, Linebacker Elijah Groves, Wide Receiver Christian Zachary, Running Back Hollywood Smothers, Defensive End Justin Terrell, Defensive End Josh Alexander-Felton and Offensive Lineman Val Erickson.
