Penn State safety transfer King Mack (5’10″/193) is transferring to NC State.

Mack recorded 58 tackles, one interception, and three pass deflections this season for the Nittany Lions, appearing in 13 games and starting eight.

He was the third-highest graded player on Penn State’s defense this fall, according to PFF.

Mack began his collegiate career at Penn State in 2023 before transferring to Alabama the following season. After one year with the Crimson Tide, he returned to Penn State.

He brings 39 games of college football experience to NC State.

Mack was a consensus four-star prospect in the 2023 recruiting class, with 247Sports ranking him as the No. 86 overall player nationally, the No. 6 safety, and the No. 18 player in the state of Florida.

ON3 currently ranks Mack as the No. 148 overall player in the transfer portal and the No. 10 safety.

Mack becomes the 5th transfer commitment for NC State this cycle, joining Georgia Cornerback Ondre Evans, Arkansas State punter Jackson Waller, ECU offensive lineman Jimarion McCrimon and Buffalo wide receiver Victor Snow.
