NC State turned a competitive first half into a runaway win on Tuesday night, pulling away after halftime to defeat Syracuse 88-68 inside the Lenovo Center.

The Wolfpack erupted offensively in the second half, overwhelming the Orange with efficient shooting, ball movement, and defensive pressure. Three NC State players finished with at least 18 points as the Pack cruised to another ACC victory.

Darrion Williams Leads the Way

Senior forward Darrion Williams delivered his most efficient performance in weeks, finishing with 23 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists. Williams shot 9-of-16 from the floor and knocked down 5-of-9 from three-point range, providing a major offensive spark when NC State needed separation.

Copeland Shines Against Former Team

Senior guard Quadir Copeland made his return matchup against Syracuse count. The former Orange player stuffed the stat sheet with 19 points, 9 assists, and 4 steals, falling just one assist shy of a double-double.

Lubin Stays Perfect

Senior forward Ven-Allen Lubin continued his incredible efficiency, finishing a perfect 8-for-8 from the field for 18 points and 9 rebounds. Lubin entered the game leading the ACC in field-goal percentage and did nothing to change that with another flawless shooting performance.

The Wolfpack’s offensive efficiency and defensive pressure after halftime turned a tight game into a comfortable win, further solidifying NC State’s position in the ACC race.
