NC State has extended a scholarship offer to 2027 point guard Micah Gordon (6’0”, 180 pounds), continuing to build its future backcourt board early.

Gordon is a consensus four-star prospect in the 2027 recruiting class and one of the top guards nationally. ESPN ranks Gordon as the No. 33 overall player in the country, the No. 8 point guard, and the top prospect in the state of New Jersey.

The rising junior has quickly emerged as one of the most productive guards in the Northeast. This season at Plainfield, Gordon is averaging 24.8 points, 5.7 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 3 steals per game, showcasing his ability to score at all three levels while still facilitating offense and defending at a high rate.

NC State joins a growing list of Power Conference programs pursuing Gordon. He also holds scholarship offers from Oklahoma State, West Virginia, Seton Hall, Tennessee, Mississippi State, VCU, and several others.

With his combination of scoring punch, court vision, and defensive activity, Gordon profiles as a lead guard capable of running an offense or playing alongside another ball handler. The Wolfpack’s early involvement signals strong interest as they begin shaping their 2027 recruiting class.
