NC State Assistant Coach Brandon Chambers Named Head Coach at UTRGV

NC State Assistant Coach Brandon Chambers is going to become the new Head Coach at UTRGV according to reports. Chambers was only in Raleigh for this past season, following Will Wade to NC State from McNeese St.

Brandon Chambers is finalizing a deal to become the next Head Coach at UTRGV, per @JonRothstein.

Chambers deserves the opportunity!

This will be Chambers first gig as a head coach.

Prior to following Wade from Louisiana to North Carolina, Chambers was an Assistant Coach with Wade at McNeese St. for two seasons. The season before, he was an Assistant Coach at Texas Southern, where he was also served in the same role for two seasons from 2019-21.

Prior to being fired at LSU, Wade hired Chambers to be the Special Assistant to the Head Coach in Baton Rouge for the 2021-22 season.

Chambers got his start in the collegiate ranks at Nevada, where he was the Director of Operations from 2016-19.
