NC State Women’s Basketball suffered a significant blow yesterday when forward Tilda Trygger announced she will be entering the Transfer Portal.
Trygger averaged 10.6 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks per game as a sophomore this season, starting all 30 games she played. In her first year in Raleigh, she earned a spot on the ACC All-Freshman Team.
The Wolfpack also learned they would be losing a key contributor off the bench in guard Devyn Quigley. She started six of 29 games this season and averaged 16.4 minutes per game, the second-highest average among bench players.
The hits didn’t stop there.
On March 25, sophomore guard Zam Jones announced she would be entering the portal as well. Like Trygger, Jones was a starter this season, averaging 14.9 points, 3.8 assists, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.2 steals per game.
A day earlier, junior center Mallory Collier also expressed her intention to transfer. Collier appeared in 16 games this season, averaging 6.9 minutes per contest.
While there has been plenty of movement out, NC State has received some major positive news.
On March 25, junior guard Zoe Brooks, a First Team All-ACC selection, announced she will return for her senior season. This marks back-to-back years Brooks has earned First Team honors after previously being named to the ACC All-Freshman Team.
This season, Brooks averaged 16.0 points, 4.7 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 1.7 steals per game, continuing to establish herself as one of the top guards in the conference.
And sometimes, no news is good news.
At this point, junior forward Khamil Pierre, also a First Team All-ACC selection, has not announced any intention to enter the portal. That’s massive for the Wolfpack.
Pierre proved to be one of the best players in the country in her first season in Raleigh after shining at Vanderbilt. She averaged 16.7 points and 11.9 rebounds per game this season, leading the team in both categories and topping the ACC in rebounds per game.
There was also encouraging news from freshman guard Destiny Lunan, who announced on March 28 that she will return for her sophomore season. Lunan provided a strong spark off the bench, appearing in a reserve role while contributing valuable minutes throughout the year.
Current NC State 2026 Roster (Subject to Change)

With the Transfer Portal still open, more movement could be coming, but for now, NC State still retains a strong core to build around, highlighted by Brooks and Pierre.
