7’2” Charlotte Transfer Center Anton Bonke Visiting NC State this Weeeknd

According to a source, Charlotte transfer center Anton Bonke (7’2”, 260 pounds) will take an official visit to NC State this weekend. He has already taken visits to Kansas and Michigan State.

Bonke is coming off a productive season at Charlotte, where he averaged 10.6 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game while shooting an efficient 57.6% from the field.

Before his time at Charlotte, Bonke spent a season at Providence, where his role was limited. He appeared in 16 games, averaging 6.6 minutes per contest while posting 1.3 points and 1.2 rebounds per game.

He began his college career in the JUCO ranks at Eastern Arizona College, where he averaged 9.8 points and 5.8 rebounds per game.

At the transfer level, both 247Sports and Rivals rate Bonke as a 4-star prospect. Rivals ranks him as the No. 110 overall player in the portal and the No. 13 center, while 247Sports lists him at No. 137 overall and No. 18 at his position.

Bonke will have one year of eligibility remaining at his next destination.
