According to reports, FAU transfer forward Devin Williams (6’10”, 210 pounds) has received interest from NC State since entering the Transfer Portal.

Williams is drawing attention from a wide range of programs, also hearing from Kentucky, Clemson, Syracuse, USC, Seton Hall, Arizona, Miami, George Washington, Washington State, Hawaii, Stanford, and Boston College.

In his lone season at FAU, he averaged 7.5 points and 5.2 rebounds while shooting 51% from the field. His biggest impact came defensively, where he led the American Conference in blocks at 2.6 per game.

Williams began his career at UCLA, where his role was. He appeared in 10 games as a freshman (3.2 minutes per game) before redshirting his second season.

Coming out of high school, Williams was a highly regarded recruit. On3 ranked him as the No. 58 overall player nationally in the 2023 class, the No. 11 power forward, and the No. 12 player in the state of California.

At the transfer level, 247Sports currently rates Williams as a 3-star prospect, ranking him as the No. 242 overall player in the portal and the No. 31 center.

With two years of eligibility remaining, Williams offers size, defensive presence, and upside as programs look to add frontcourt depth.
