The LA Clippers just brought up Former Wolfpack Guard, CJ Williams

Looks like another former Wolfpacker is going to be getting minutes in the NBA.

According to the Clippers beat reporter, Brad Turner, they made the move yesterday to bring up former NC State guard, CJ Williams.

The move is likely in response to the LA Clippers bad luck with guards over the past few days.

Williams played for NC State from 2008-2012 under then-coach Herb Sendek (who just made PI news today by being involved in a viral Twitter hoax). As a senior, Williams averaged 10.6 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.3 assists. After college, Williams played some overseas and lately has played a few seasons in the G-League (formally the D-league). Last year he averaged 10.8 ppg, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.2 assists.

Williams most recently was a main contributor to the USA AmeriCup Team, which he parlayed into a two-way contract with the Clips about a month ago.

We’re still not sure how many minutes he’ll get, but we’ll be keeping you updated with his production after every Clippers game.
