After going undrafted in the 2018 NBA Draft last week, former NC State Guard Allerik Freeman will play in the NBA Summer League with the Sacaramento Kings.

Prior to the Draft, Freeman worked out for the Kings. He also worked out for the Lakers, Hornets, Nets and Warriors.

Freeman averaged 16.1 points and 4.2 rebounds per game in his one season at NC State last year, helping lead the Wolfpack back to the NCAA Tournament.

The story of another former NC State Guard, CJ Williams, should inspire Freeman. After a few years in the G-League, he signed a 3-year contract with the Clippers this year.

Freeman is a pro. I believe that. He can attack the basket. He can create his own shot. He is clutch and oozes with confidence.

I hope to see a similar story of Freeman signing a contract with an NBA squad in the future.
