Sports Illustrated came out with their ACC power rankings today, and NC State didn’t fare well.

It’s not that I’m not used to seeing NC State get jilted by the national media, but do your homework people. Yes, NC State has a lot of new faces and even as someone running a daily content site on the team, it’s hard to keep up. But, did they not see what Keatts did with the group he had last year? Do they not see the added talent and plethora of bodies?

I guess not. And the reason that I guess that is because of this simple little write-up they shared.

12. NC State: Torin Dorn is back, while former UNC-Wilmington standout C.J. Bryce is now eligible after transferring in when Kevin Keatts got the job.

What are we supposed to do with this? No mention of Markell Johnson who is poised to be a breakout ACC star. Sure, CJ Bryce is now eligible, but so is Devin Daniels who is the real prize of the transfers. Oh and this team is bringing in 3 new 4-star recruits, plus another former 4-star transfer in DJ Funderburk. Add in grad-transfer Wyatt Walker (who averaged a double-double last season for Samford) who will likely start for the Pack, and there are a lot of reasons that this team should not be ranked 12th.

We expect a little better from you SI.

And for the record, here are the full rankings.
