Great teams win ugly games.

The #8 NC State Women’s Basketball team survived  a slugfest last night in Reynolds Coliseum, hanging on to beat Clemson 54-51.

The 6-0 start in conference play is the best start since the 1997-98 season.

The Wolfpack managed to squeak out a victory while turning the ball over 21 times, and shooting 38.3% from the field, 13.6% from three, and 41.2% from the free throw line.

Four NC State players finished in double figures. Redshirt Graduate Junior Kiara Leslie led the team with 13 points, and Senior DD Rogers finished with a double-double, scoring 11 points and grabbing 15 rebounds.

Freshman Elissa Cunane also chipped in 11, while Junior Erika Cassell had 10.

The Wolfpack will hit the road and head to Georgia Tech on Sunday for their next game at 2pm.
