This #10 NC State Women’s Basketball team closed out their regular season tonight with a gritty 70-68 victory over #15 Miami.

This team hasn’t made any excuses all year long, despite losing 4 players for the year, with 3 of them being starters. They just keep on grinding.

The Wolfpack trailed by 8 points at the break, but took the lead for good with 7:22 left in the game. NC State trailed for 23:41, and led for 11:32.

Senior DD Rodgers went out with a bang, scoring a career high 21 points in her final game in Reynolds Coliseum. She also chipped in 14 rebounds, resulting in her 4th double-double of the season.

Redshirt Graduate Senior Kiara Leslie had 12 points and 6 rebounds.

Freshman sensation Elissa Cunane chipped in 11 points and 5 boards.

Miami outshot NC State from the field and from three-point range, and also out-rebounded the Wolfpack, but stats don’t always beat heart, and they didn’t today.

The Wolfpack finished the regular season with a 25-4 record, and will enter the ACC Tournament as the #3 seed, marking the highest seeding since 2005 (also #3 seed). This marks only the 11th time in school history that NC State has won at least 25 games in a season, and three of those have come under head coach Wes Moore.

NC State earned a double-bye, and will play either Pitt, Duke or Florida State on Friday night at 8pm.
