Former NC State Guard Kiara Leslie may not have played a single game of her rookie season, but she is a WNBA champion nonetheless.

Leslie had to undergo two knee surgeries this season, which kept her from every seeing the court, but she was able to cheer on her Washington Mystics as they beat the Connecticut Sun 89-78 last night, winning their first WNBA Championship.

She averaged 15.9 points and 7.2 rebounds per game her Senior season at NC State. Leslie earned AP All-American Honorable Mention, and 1st Team All-ACC. She was drafted by Washington with the 10th overall pick, becoming the 4th player in Wolfpack history to be drafted in the 1st round of the WNBA Draft.
