Markell Johnson’s Legacy at NC State

Senior Markell Johnson left quite a dent in the NC State record books in his 4 years.

Johnson finished with 607 career assists, which ranks 3rd all-time in school history, behind two players who have their jersey’s honored in the rafters of PNC Arena.

At the end of his collegiate career, Johnson ranks 25th in ACC history in assists. All of this is even more impressive considering the fact that he only started 3 seasons.

Johnson led the ACC once again in assists for the second time in his career, joining Lowe and Corchiani as the only players in NC State history to do so twice.

He finished his career with 1,163 career points, becoming the 53rd Wolfpack player to score 1,000+ points.

Johnson’s assist-to-turnover ratio of 2.1 ranks 7th in school history.

His 165 career steals rank 10th in NC State history.

In Johnson’s final year, he finally earned a spot on an All-ACC team, making the 2nd Team.
