NC State is headed to the Super Regionals of the 2024 NCAA Tournament after defeating James Madison 5-3 last night in the Raleigh Regional Finals. This marks the 6th time that NC State has advanced to the Super Regionals.

Back in 2021, after going 3-0 as the #2 seed in the Ruston Regional, NC State advanced to play Arkansas in the Super Regional, who was the #1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament. The Wolfpack went on to win 2 of 3 against the Razorbacks, advancing to their 3rd College World Series in school history.

In 2013, NC State also went 3-0 in the Raleigh Regional, advancing to serve as a Host in the Super Regional. The Wolfpack went on to win the first two games against Rice at home to advance to their 2nd College World Series in school history.

In 2012, the Wolfpack went 4-1 in the Raleigh Regional, advancing to play against Florida in the Super Regional in Gainesville, Florida. The Gators won the fist two games, eliminating NC State.

In 2008, NC State went 3-0 in the Raleigh Regional, advancing to play Georgia in the Super Regional in Athens, Georgia. Sound familiar? How about the irony that the Wolfpack defeated James Madison and South Carolina in the Raleigh Regional 16 years ago as well? Unfortunately, the Bulldogs eliminated the Wolfpack, winning 2 of 3.

In 2003, NC State went 3-0 as the Regional Host, advancing to play Florida in a Super Regional in Gainesville. The Gators eliminated the Wolfpack, winning the first two games.
