On August 6th, the Los Angeles Chargers cut former NC State Defensive End Savion Jackson, but they re-signed him on Tuesday.

Though he played Defensive End his entire collegiate career at NC State, the Chargers have him at Outside Linebacker in their 3-4 system.

After going undrafted in April, the Bolts signed Jackson to an Undrafted Free Agent Deal on April 27th. He is joined by another former Wolfpack player that was also signed as an Undrafted Free Agent: Defensive Back Robert Kennedy III.

Last season as a Senior in Raleigh, Jackson had 40 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, and 2.5 sacks in 12 games for the Wolfpack. His Run Defense grade on PFF was 80.6, ranking 4th on the team.

The Chargers play the Rams tonight in Week 2 of the 2024 NFL Preseason at 7:05.
