NC State’s DJ Burns Signs Professional Deal with Korean Professional Team

NC State legend has found his first professional basketball gig, signing with Goyang Sono Skygunners, who play in the Korean Basketball League in South Korea.

The Skygunners finished in 8th place in the KBL last year, with a record of 20-34.

Burns spent the past two years at NC State, leading the Wolfpack to their first ACC Men’s Basketball Championship since 1987 this past March, and their first Final Four appearance since 1983. He won the ACC Tournament MVP award, and was named the Most Outstanding Player in the South Region of the NCAA Tournament.

Burns averaged 12.7 points per game, while shooting 54.4% in his two years on Raleigh.

This Summer, Burns played with the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2024 NBA Summer League.
