Former All-ACC WR Jakobi Meyers has the Stickiest Hands in the NFL Since 2000

Former NC State All-ACC Wide Receiver hasn’t dropped a catch through 11 games this season.

That’s an insane statistic.

What makes it more insane, is that Meyers is the only receiver in the NFL since 2000 to have 0 drops with 95+ targets.

Meyers is one of the must successful undrafted receivers in NFL history at this point. Yes, you read that correctly.

He’s 1 of only 5 undrafted players in NFL history to have 700+ yards receiving in 5 of their first 6 seasons, joining Antonio Gates, Drew Pearson, Gary Clark and Rob Moore.

Some of the next stats I’m going to share are a few weeks old, but they put Meyers’ accomplishments in historical perspective.

Meyers is in his 6th season in the league, just turned 28, and he’s only 366 yards away from tying Robby Anderson for the 25th most receiving yards in NFL history by an undrafted player.

Meyers’ 4,308 career receiving yards in the NFL is the 5th most ever by an NC State receiver.

Career Receiving Yards in the NFL

1. Torry Holt – 13,382
2. Jerricho Cotchery – 6,623
3. Mike Quick – 6,464
4. Haywood Jeffires – 6,334
5. Jakobi Meyers – 4,308
6. Koren Robinson – 4,244
7. Ted Brown (RB)- 2,850
8. Alex Webster (RB) – 2,679
9. Nyheim Hines (RB) – 1,778
10. Dick Christy (RB) – 1,473

He currently ranks 4th in school history in career NFL receptions.

1. Torry Holt – 920
2. Haywood Jeffires – 535
3. Jerricho Cotchery – 524
4. Jakobi Meyers – 349
5. Mike Quick – 363
6. Ted Brown (RB) – 339
7. Koren Robinson – 294
8. Alex Webster (RB) – 240
8. Nyheim Hines (RB) – 240
10. Dick Christy (RB) – 132

Meyers’ 168 career receptions at NC State rank 7th in school history. Without Thayer Thomas getting an extra year due to the extra Covid-19 season, Meyers would rank 6th. Meyers’ 1,932 career receiving yards rank 10th (would rank 9th).
