How did NC State Favorite DJ Burns do in his 1st Professional Season?

NC State fan favorite DJ Burns just wrapped up his first professional season in South Korea with the Sono Skygunners.

Burns started for the Skygunners, averaging 9.3 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 2.1 assists over 54 games, shooting 51.8% from the field.

Sono finished the season with a 19-35 overall record in the Korean Basketball League (KBL), placing 8th out of 10 teams.

Next up, Burns will compete in The Basketball Tournament (TBT) with Team Challenge ALS.

Burns spent two years at NC State, leading the Wolfpack to their first ACC Men’s Basketball Championship since 1987 and their first Final Four appearance since 1983. He was named 2024 ACC Tournament MVP and Most Outstanding Player of the NCAA South Region.

DJ averaged 12.7 points per game while shooting 54.4% during his two seasons in Raleigh.
